Arrive Alive Campaign
Arrive Alive...it's a whole vibe!
Registration for the 2024 Arrive Alive Campaign is now open! The campaign, in partnership with Virginia State Police, Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, and State Farm, is a peer-to-peer initiative to promote young driver and passenger safety behaviors among youth and teens during the high-risk warm weather months.
According to statistics, the months between May and September are the most dangerous for young drivers. During this time period, teens tend to engage in more risky driving behaviors, putting them at risk to be involved in a traffic crash.
Arrive Alive registration is FREE and includes FREE educational materials, incentive items, project ideas, and resources! Through Arrive Alive, YOVASO’s goal is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities among young drivers, passengers, pedestrians and bicyclists during the high-risk spring and summer months through educational and awareness programs conducted by youth and teens.
This campaign is offered as a competition to schools and youth groups that would like to compete for cash prizes, but non-competing schools and youth groups are highly encouraged to participate as well! To learn more about the campaign, download the High School (Teen) Letter or Middle School (Youth) Letter. You may also refer to the High School Campaign Overview or the Middle School Campaign Overview. Check back this afternoon for the High School and Middle School Campaign Packets which include additional resources and programs to implement a successful Arrive Alive campaign in your school or community.
For more information on this initiative or how you can get involved in future campaigns, please contact Casey Taylor at casey.taylor@vsp.virginia.gov.

Final Evaluation and Seat Belt Check Result Forms:
All Arrive Alive competing and non-competing schools and youth groups are required to complete a final report. Without final reports, YOVASO cannot evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign which is a requirement for reapplying for future campaign funds. Any school or youth group (competing or non-competing) is also asked to submit the results of pre and post seat belt checks, if conducted. Links for all three reporting forms are below. Thank you!
