YOVASO is excited to announce a collaboration with Mallory’s Movement Against Drunk Driving for a Night with Kristen Mallory on December 10, 2020 at 7:00pm. Kristen and YOVASO are inviting you, your students, and colleagues to join virtually to hear Kristen’s story after being hit by an impaired driver. Kristen has made it her mission to share her story in order to spread awareness about the dangers of drunk and drugged driving, as well as the importance of always wearing a seatbelt. Our Commonwealth continues to see a high percentage of fatalities among young drivers who are not wearing a seatbelt and Kristen’s message will also reinforce the importance of always buckling up. This virtual experience can be used as an alternate assignment or extra credit for your students to participate. Also, please share the program with Driver’s Ed, Criminal Justice, Health teachers and others at your school who may be interested in having their students participate. The program should last about 1 hour and will include Kristen’s documentary, a presentation by Kristen, and time for questions.
