Participate in YOVASO's fun and interactive campaigns to promote young driver and passenger safety in your school and community.
YOVASO safety campaigns are designed to focus on the top causative factors in young driver crashes. The campaigns are a free and fun way to encourage youth to be safer and more responsible drivers and passengers.
Drive for Change: Buckle Up & Slow Down Campaign
The goal of the Drive for Change Campaign is to help students form lifelong, buckle up habits through education and awareness. The campaign also focuses on encouraging teens to slow down and obey posted speed limits.
As part of this year's campaign, schools and youth groups will participate in YOVASO's Spirit Weeks! Each week students will be challenged to come up with creative activities to promote buckling up and slowing down in their school and community. Each week will have a fun theme to help generate creative ideas and keeps students engaged! Cash prizes will be be awarded to our first, second, and third place winners in both the middle and high school divisions. The final week of the campaign will also include a Halloween component to remind all youth and teens to make good choices and celebrate safely during Halloween weekend.
All participating schools and youth groups will receive a box of materials and incentive items to use with the campaign. This year's items include bookmarks, posters, pledge banners, and buckle up reminder cards. Schools planning to promote a safe Halloween will also be able to register for Halloween banners, posters, activity books, and a fun incentive item.
Halloween Safety Campaign
We hope you’re ready to help us promote a safe and fun Halloween! This year's campaign will be a component of the Drive for Change: Buckle Up and Slow Down Campaign. During week four of Drive for Change, students will participate in activities to remind their peers to buckle up, drive safely, make good choices, and avoid alcohol and drugs.
Participating schools and youth groups may also register for campaign banners, posters, activity books, and fun incentive items on the Drive for Change: Buckle Up and Slow Down Campaign page.
Holiday Safety Contest
Join us for the Holiday Safety Contest as we promote safe driving and passenger safety throughout the holiday season! Students will participate by developing a creative jingle to influence their peers to buckle up and drive safely.
Arrive Alive Campaign
The focus of the high school campaign is to encourage safe driving and passenger safety among teens during the warm weather months, including prom and graduation season. The focus for middle schools is on passenger safety, traffic safety, and developing good safety behaviors prior to the driving years.
All participating schools and youth groups will receive a box of materials and incentive items to use with the campaign. Some of the items may include bookmarks, posters, pledge banners, "What to Do After a Crash" cards, and other educational materials. Incentive item examples include sunglasses, key chains, or another fun item.
